Building Capacity and Strengthening the Network

NWCCI recently held a day long training workshop for staff members of the North West's Chambers of Commerce. Entitled, 'Building Capacity / Strengthening the Network' the focus of the training was on the recruitment, retention and management of members. The aim of the workshop was to provide chamber staff with training and also give them an opportunity to network with other chamber staff from across the North West Region.

Dara Calleary, business development manager with Chambers of Commerce Ireland conducted the training and won high praise from those who took part.

"Dara's extensive experience in dealing with Chambers of Commerce on a day to day basis meant that he was able to provide participants with some excellent points about providing the best possible service to our members and how to promote the good work chambers carry out in many areas across the country." Sinead McLaughlin, business operations manager of Londonderry Chamber of Commerce.

Staff members from Chambers in Buncrana, Coleraine, Letterkenny, Ballybofey/Stranorlar and Londonderry took part in the event which is part of a series being organised by NWCCI over the coming months.

Chambers wishing to take part in future training events are invited to contact Richard on 028 7126 2379 or e-mail richard@nwcci.com
