NWCCI Seminar 'Connecting Business'

Connecting Business - The Importance of Effective Communications

The North West Chambers of Commerce Initiative (NWCCI) will hold a seminar on how we can improve our business success though enhanced personal communications and effectiveness.

On Thursday 11th May, Billy Dixon and Mary Keightley, two of Northern Ireland's well-known business and personal advisors with wide experience in the private, corporate and public sectors will demonstrate the importance of effective communications. Billy, Partner with Propeller, a Belfast company specialising in personal and corporate communications, and Mary, Managing Director of Mind Associates, a training company which specialises in thinking techniques, are both experts in their fields of personal development, emotional intelligence and optimism. They will share with us their experiences and demonstrate how to connect with our customers, even the most difficult ones!

The NWCCI, which is part-financed by the EU Programme for Peace and Reconciliation, recognises the importance of effective communications and the barriers that exist to business in the region. In addition to personal communications, we also need the technology to support us. To address this aspect, Gerry McQuaid of O2 Ireland, will show us how their customer insights drive communications.

Niall Birthistle, NWCCI President said, 'Central to the work of NWCCI is to create a joined up approach for the betterment of the North West. This seminar will address the most basic and most important of business tools, effective communications. Our speakers will provide members with a practical and effective approach to improving our communication skills. We are fortunate also, to have the support of O2 Ireland, it is fitting that we have O2 Ireland's support as they were the first mobile operator in Ireland to address the negative impact roaming charges has on business in the cross border region.

O2's Commercial Director, Gerry McQuaid, added, 'O2 Ireland is delighted to be associated with this event. As a mobile communications company, effective customer communications is fundamental to our business. I look forward to sharing our experiences with the seminar attendees'.

This event will take place on Thursday, May 11 in the Everglades Hotel. Booking and further information can be obtained by calling 028 71 26 2379, or email, info@nwcci.com Full details are available at www.nwcci.com
